What You Could Have Been

She is
What you
Could have been

If only
You could
Get out
Of your own way
Long enough
To embrace
Your potential

Instead
You fall
To your fears
Of yourself
And of others

Twisting reality
Foraging it to fit
Into your pre-existing
Narratives
Thus proving
Why
You can never
Be
What you could have been
